At YASU, we believe in the beauty of slowing down. In a fast-paced world, we wanted to create something that invites presence, mindfulness, and intentionality through one of the most grounding rituals we know: preparing and enjoying a cup of matcha.
YASU was born from a deep love for ritual and a passion for quality. We set out to offer more than just matcha; we wanted to offer a moment. A calm pause. A mindful practice. A connection to something pure and timeless.
Matcha, the yasu way
Our matcha is not your average green tea powder. We source ceremonial grade matcha from Uji, Japan, a region with over 800 years of tea-growing tradition and widely regarded as the birthplace of Japanese matcha culture. With its nutrient-rich soil, gentle climate, and long-standing craftsmanship, Uji is known for producing some of the finest matcha in the world.
At YASU, we take it a step further. Our matcha is single origin and first harvest, which means it comes exclusively from one family-run farm in Uji. It’s made using only the youngest and most tender tea leaves, picked during the very first harvest of the year. These leaves are carefully shade-grown to increase their chlorophyll and L-theanine content, then stone-ground into an ultra-fine, vibrant green powder.
This exceptional level of quality offers a naturally smooth, umami-rich flavor without bitterness. It delivers higher concentrations of antioxidants and calming amino acids, providing a gentle, focused energy without the crash that often follows coffee. And it brings you closer to the art and tradition of matcha with every sip.

Why we started YASU
We created YASU because we couldn’t find matcha that truly met our standards. We were looking for something high in quality, transparently sourced, beautifully presented, and deeply rooted in ritual. Too often, matcha on the market is bitter, blended from different farms, or labeled as ceremonial grade without actually meeting the standards that name deserves.
We believed there had to be a better way.
